I really enjoyed this second book in the Luminaries series. There seemed to be more action, more characterisation, more world building, more mystery, more revelations and more slow-burn romance. I still love Winnie and Jay and their dynamic. Although I guessed some of the twists this didn’t prevent me from enjoying this more than “The Luminaries”.
