Not terrible, but could use improvement. Strong FMC, intrigueing MMCs. Some of the twists I definitely saw coming but I did managed to be surprised here and there.
There are some small grammatical errors and occasionally the author forgets what eye color she assigned someone, but those flaws are easy to look past, as the actual plot definitely has some legs.
I would say that KJ Sutton could use some work with her magical system--the whole God thing is tired and Cassie Clare is really the only one who makes it work. I would also say she could use some work on her settings; they're boring and devoid of detail. The emotional motivation for Fortuna is also not as strong as it could be - it seems to me that she changes her mind too often and is too easily swayed by fickle and dangerous desires.
Also, the name sins in this book are many. I mean, Fortuna??? LOL
