This was a book I so badly wanted to love but ended up just not vibing with. This is being described as Bridgerton meets Practical Magic and while that's true to some extent I feel like it's missing the charm of both. The plot moves SO slowly and there is so much foreshadowing it's almost shocking the characters didn't see the twist coming. I loved the descriptions and it has some beautiful prose (what's wrong with being a bitch, it's the closest a woman can be to a wolf is a banger line that comes up early) but unfortunately that wasn't enough to combat the slow plot.
