Men at Arms by Terry Pratchett
5.0
Been re-reading over Christmas. Still my favourite book of the series, slightly edging out Guards Guards. The parts about a copper's precarious role in regards to race relations and the fixation of scared people with leaders are as relevant as ever. Down with kings.
Having said that, not as good as the first time I read it, but this is probably because I remembered all the twists and emotional parts so well. Moving on to Feet of Clay to see if its better than I remember it being as I was not too impressed the first time reading it as a teenager.
