I normally love Meg Cabot but is was infuriating. Clearly, written before Me Too, one of the main male characters clearly assaults and terrifies Meena, but by the end of the book she's totally into him. Not to mention her brother watches some of this occurring but is still buddy buddy with him so he can get a job?
I very desperately wanted to throw this book away at several points, but I kept hoping I'd be wrong.
Was looking forward to reading the 2nd book in the series but I won't be reading it now
