Mary Queen of Scotland and the Isles by Margaret George
5.0
I really enjoyed Mary Queen of Scotland and The Isles by Margaret George. The book covers all of Mary Queen of Scot's life as she tries to navigate being a young female ruler in a country at war with itself. It's full of intrigue and plotting with various parties in different European courts. I'm definitely not an expert, but it felt well-researched and believable. It is lengthy at 870 pages, but the story kept me hooked, so I never felt bogged down how long the book was.
