The book is ok. Riddled with errors (I guess the editor was out for lunch) but if you want an all-PoC cast story that isn't another "Assuage (or Stoke) White Guilt/All PoC are good at is suffering" tale which currently gluts the market of diverse works, then I at least strongly recommend this work. It was nice to see something different, even though I believe the story could be written better. There are women leads, one Black and one Japanese, and they were written well. I give points when a male writer writes women like, well ... people. (Even George Orwell sucked at that, and so do modern male writers (despite having access to a huge research bay called the internet. And, y'know, women in their lives.)). The writing is a bit stilted but it isn't insufferable. Then again, how one likes a writing style is purely subjective.

Thus, I think this book, despite some glaring typo flaws (which can be corrected with a better editor), isn't that bad a read. It's better than the usual fare that's out there. That's for sure
