The Coven by Harper L. Woods
5.0
Well first thing first OMFG I did not expect to love this book as much as I did but wow it had me hooked from the beginning. Willow and Gray may be my new favourite book pairing I mean what's a girl got to do to get herself a Vessel. I've not read many books about witches but I found the witches in this book really fascinating we only really get information about the Greens which makes sense considering being a green is part of who Willow is and seeing her harnessing the plants and working with them was amazing. I hope we get to learn more about the others in future books. Gray had my full attention from the start I mean come on he's your morally grey character that means of course I'm going to instantly be enamoured with him.
Now because this was an ARC review I'm going to keep it spoiler free until release but oh let me tell you this will not be the first time you hear me talk about this book and I cannot wait to share my favourite scenes, quotes and passages.
So if your looking for a dark paranormal romance with gothic vibes in a dark academia setting with an male lead that goes beyond the typical morally grey antihero who is infact the actual villain then this is the book for you. There is a HEA but it's not what your expecting oh and it does end on a cliffhanger that had me throwing my kindle in frustration because I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT... eek I cannot wait for book 2.
The authour has provided triggers for this book which include-
