I come back to the collection, especially the devotional (is that really the right word?) poetry again and again: silence; doubt; the tangible or near-tangible absence of God, told with acerbic self-criticism and the hawk-like grip on the language and imagery the poet needs.
I can't critique this, really: you know you are in the presence of greatness.
