Telling Tales by Ann Cleeves

3.0

I found Ann Cleeves via Netflix and the show "Shetland" and was intrigued by what I had watched but this was the first story I had read by her. While I enjoyed it the coolest thing about it was the multiple narrators and the way that Vera Stanhope - the lead detective and main character it would seem - is just another player in the story and not the one who gets to shade everything her way. The mystery was good if somewhat lame by the end but otherwise enjoyable. I definitely will be looking for more of her books on the shelves.
