Ooooof. Tough reread from an absolute favorite as a child. Did not age well, nor did it make ANY sense hahaha. I kept being horrified at the glorification of Andrew Jackson and just...omg. the cycle of this book helped turn me into a history geek and gave me a deep love of reenacting - but in turn all of that knowledge made me so absurdly aware of all the problems with the very idea of a Clifton Village. Hahaha oh man.
