Gillen starts putting together some large plot stuff that I just Do Not Care About ~60% through, and I'm not completely sold on it, or how it wrapped. However. Holy shit the characters. Every single character moment, every single development, all of the dialogue and interactions, they all land. They're all baseline very good and often breathtaking. So despite my ambivalence on the plot, I'm still rating 5*.
