Girls Can Kiss Now: Essays by Jill Gutowitz

4.0

‘THAT BEING “ONE of the boys” used to be a good thing is very funny to me. Can you even imagine something so harrowing, so chilling, as to pride oneself on an ability to connect with… men?’

Lol I enjoyed these essays. Some were not as relatable since I’m not a white woman obsessed with Taylor swift but others were very funny. This book called me out in my queerness considering my Instagram name is asking Gwen Stefani to step on me. In a pun. And all the mention of ‘but I’m a cheerleader ’ which was the movie I relate to my coming out. Haha i also of course have the biggest crush on Natasha Lyonne forever. This was nostalgic in many ways and very much our millennial humor.
