Looking around for brilliantly done Vampire Series with sappy love story as not being the main setup its like looking for needle in a haystack. This book recommended to me by my friend for its grim-dark world, horror elements and grey shaded protagonist just hits different. The most amazing aspects of this book is its narrative style which moves between 3 time periods and it works perfectly for this book. The mystery ever present with no life guarantees for the characters you route for. This is a brilliant start to the series and expecting much in the future books.
