Dickens does it again, i remember reading 𝖠 𝗍𝖺𝗅𝖾 𝗈𝖿 𝗍𝗐𝗈 𝖼𝗂𝗍𝗂𝖾𝗌 and feeling miserable and the same thing happened again and yeah i cried this time. :(
The story follows a young boy, Pip who has great ambitions and expectations. I'll try to write the review with respect to his relationships with other people in the story.

🕯️𝐏𝐢𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚 : i feel like this is one of the most important dynamics in the story, Pip falls in love with her at the first sight for her and continues to love her till the end. The love he has for Estella defies everything; logic and reason

▫️ “ 𝑰 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒅 𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒕 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒐𝒏, 𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒕 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒆, 𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒕 𝒑𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒆, 𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒕 𝒉𝒐𝒑𝒆, 𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒕 𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔, 𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒕 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒅𝒊𝒔𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒃𝒆. As for Estella i think she wanted to love him but she was simply not capable of doing so because of Miss Havisham's influence and Pip was aware of it, he knew it was a hopeless love.

Wow!!!  Please this has to be one of the best love confessions of all time.

And i am happy Dickens gave them a happy ending ( ik it's ambiguous so I think they ended up together)

▫️" “𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒂𝒍𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒎𝒚 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒕,” 𝑰 𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒅. "

🕯️𝐏𝐢𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡 : This is definitely the most important relationship in the whole story and for some reason it highly resonated with me. Magwitch had a very unhappy life, betrayed by everyone and rejected by the society, he finds solace in the kindness of young Pip and loves him dearly.

▫️“ 𝐈 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡, 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐬𝐦𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐡; 𝐈 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤”

▫️ “𝐈𝐧 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈 𝐰𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫, 𝐈 𝐰𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮. ”

Pip in his arrogance has a difficulty in accepting him in the beginning but eventually he learns dear to him and does everything he could to keep him safe and sane. The last chapters of them spending the time together brought me to tears. I wish, I wish that he hadn't died.

▫️“𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑰 𝒂𝒎 𝒂𝒍𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒉𝒊𝒎 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒇𝒖𝒍𝒍 𝒆𝒙𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒅, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑰 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒃𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒉𝒊𝒎 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒈, 𝒊𝒇 𝑰 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅. 𝑨𝒏𝒅 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝑰 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒚 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒉𝒊𝒎, 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒎𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒔 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒉𝒊𝒎.”

▫️" “𝑨𝒏𝒅 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕’𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒂𝒍𝒍,” 𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒂𝒊𝒅, “𝒚𝒐𝒖’𝒗𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒂𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒓 𝒎𝒆, 𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑰 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝒂 𝒅𝒂𝒓𝒌 𝒄𝒍𝒐𝒖𝒅, 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒖𝒏 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒏𝒆. 𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒕’𝒔 𝒃𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒂𝒍𝒍.” "

🕯️𝐏𝐢𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐉𝐨𝐞 : This is one of the most wholesome relationships in the book. Joe stays with Pip from the very beginning and despite pip's change in attitude, Joe never treats him unkindly and eventually saves him.

🕯️𝐏𝐢𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭: Pip finds a life long friend in him and is actually very selfless when it comes to Herbert, he does so much for him and Herbert makes sure Pip isn't alone.

▫️ “𝑯𝒆𝒓𝒃𝒆𝒓𝒕, 𝑰 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒂𝒍𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖, 𝒃𝒆𝒄𝒂𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝑰 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒂𝒍𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖; 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒎𝒚 𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒅 𝒊𝒔 𝒏𝒐 𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏 𝒂𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆.”

🕯️𝐏𝐢𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬 𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐦: Miss Havisham is quite similar to Magwitch in certain aspects and the relationship b/w Pip and her is a complicated one. Pip in his ignorance thinks it's Miss H who's his benefactor and therefore respects and loves her. But he doesn't cease to do so when he learns the truth. Despite her being the reason for Pip losing Estella, he doesn't hate her. And Miss H realises her mistake and becomes even more miserable .
