Well, this book was probably my favorite by this author.

I love her Shattered Promises series, but sometimes the story seems pushed. I know it's the NA version of her YA series, Fallen Star, but still.

Lyric is an interesting character. The kind of person that is always happy, and tries to make everyone smile. She's always genuine, highly musically talented, funny and smart. Grew up in a really healthy and happy home.

Ayden, is kind of her polar opposite. He has dark secrets hidden in his memory, and a few things he wishes he could forget. But when he's adopted and meets Lyric things from his past don't seem as bad and he wants to be happy like his new friend, that he slowly starts having deeper feelings for.


I loved how real this story felt. The characters seemed like they could be real people, and their interactions also felt real. I can't wait to read the sequel.
