This picks up straight after the ending of the Aurora King and we follow Lor and her group on their travels to try and sneak back into where she had been rescued from. What I love about this one is the found family..each character brings something different to the story but the way they are there for each other is one of my favourite things..the fierce love between Lor and her siblings is just so beautiful.

The character development and all the personal journeys they each take as well as the trials and tribulations are done so well as they try to discover the history of the realms and see that a lot of it comes down to the greed and power that their ancestors wanted has unfortunately just made these characters their victims. The tension and push pull finally pays off in this book.

The ending cliffhanger though was brutal and I can't wait to see how everything comes to a conclusion.
