The Complete Stories by Nahum N. Glatzer, Franz Kafka

3.5

The stories in this collection varied from incisive philosophical discussions on human nature with a surreal atmosphere to nonsensical ramblings with obtuse messages, though they are all generally very well-written. The Metamorphosis easily outshines the rest however, and it is easy to understand why that one in particular is considered Kafka's crowning achievement.
