Greymist Fair by Francesca Zappia

This book was sent to me by the author.

I very much enjoyed this series of interconnected stories about a village in the woods where Death lives and fears to go. It manages to be nicely atmospheric while not being particularly flowery or descriptive. In fact, my one wish is that it did lean a little more into descriptive language. I think that would've especially helped draw me in at the beginning. By the end, however, I was invested in this place, in these characters, and in their often tragic stories. I loved the way the book was pieced together, and it left me wanting to reread it just to truly appreciate all of the connects.

I would particularly recommend this for fans of fairytales.
