Like Mother, Like Daughter by Kimberly McCreight

"Like Mother Like Daughter" by Kimberly McCreight is a gripping and emotionally charged novel that kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. The story follows Cleo, a student at NYU, who returns home to find her mother, Kat, missing and signs of a struggle. As the mystery unfolds, we learn that Kat has been leading a double life as a corporate lawyer and fixer, keeping dangerous secrets hidden from Cleo.

McCreight masterfully weaves together suspense and emotion in this captivating tale of a mother and daughter's bond. The characters feel incredibly real, and the twists and turns kept me guessing until the very end. "Like Mother Like Daughter" is a must-read for anyone who enjoys a thrilling story with heart, and I wholeheartedly give it five stars.
