I was in such a mood to read a romantic witchy book plus I’m a sucker for the enemy to lover trope, so this one was a big win for me. Lou is our witch who is in hiding from her mother and the Chassuers aka witch hunters. Reid is our witch hunter and soon to become husband of Lou. Look, I’ll be honest, there wasn’t a massive plot twist, the magic was cool but not intricately unique, and the writing style was fine… nothing that blew my mind away. But I was such a sucker for the romance plot between Lou and Reid that I just had to keep going and essentially read it in one sitting. What I’m saying is that if you want a crazy suck you in romance story here’s your book! If you’re a but more particular about plot originality you might want to look elsewhere.
