The story is weird, gory, is probably lacking some trigger warnings, and has a lot of moving pieces but isn't very gripping. It has some interesting characters and plot points, although it does lack in subtlety.  The ending did help wrap up things pretty well making it a better read than I thought it would be through most of it. If you start it and don't like it, give it a chance and finish it, it's worth it.
Edit: had to lower the rating as the more I thought about it, the more I was disappointed about this book.
