Cyberpunk 2077: Your Voice by Aleksandra Motyka, Marcin Blacha

4.0

Good prequel story to 2077. This being a tie-in to the game, you best disregard any opinions people who have never played the game have on it. This deserves more than the current rating. Although Goodreads has never really been one to have good reviews.
The timeline - this tale is set in 2023 - fits because it is a prequel that deals with a key event in Night City history. People would know that if they played the game or realized who the players in the guy in the bar was, at the end of the story. It's Johnny Silverhand and this tale is pretty much the story of how he got his hands on the bomb that he uses on Arasaka Tower.

The art is frankly flat and bleak, but I think that ties in well with the bleak nature of all things Cyberpunk and Night City. And the story is pretty fucked and tragic. But after reading the Long Haloween's noir edition, this art is way more easily understandable, lol. That was way too flat.

4 stars for that ending. Bleak shit, man. Depressing.
