Men Have Called Her Crazy by Anna Marie Tendler

reflective medium-paced

3.0

read a bit like the barbie monologue - e.g. lots of revelations about patriarchy that are true but also not new or very nuanced

it seems like writing this was very much for her and her healing process which is neat, but doesn’t make for a very compelling read for the reader

i still kept reading the whole way though because i was at first interested in the vignettes about her past relationships in between the chapters on her experience in the hospital, and then eventually when she starts having issues with her therapist that kept me engaged

overall not a bad book but still a celebrity memoir ykwim
