"We aren't so different that way, Pashmina with her Percecot, me with my Xanax. A sickness in the mind is just as poisonous, can devour the body the same as cancer. Trauma does not always carry big battle wounds. Sometimes it appears in the broad daylight of cold wars fought in silence."

This book only has 136 pages, but I think it is safe to say that no other book has ever made me feel so seen and understood than this book... And it was terrifying and comforting at the same time.

This book is was fenomenal! IS fenomenal, will always BE fenomenal! This is the first book that made me cry multiple times, just because the feelings described in the book were so accurate to how I felt at moments in my life and seeing it written down in the book was earth shattering to me. The despair of having no way out of the hell hole you find yourself in, trying you best to find a way out and always bouncing back to the same hell hole over and over again. Just surviving, but not living.

Saying I loved this book is the wrong thing to say I think, but I know for a fact that this book will for ever have a place in my heart and will be a book I will never forget. A book I will carry with me forever and that, maybe unwillingly, carved itself a place in my soul.

@sofiaajram I will keep my eye on you, because your writing is POWERFUL!
