I don't know why I've waited so long to read any books by GGK. This was excellent. It's quite epic but there are sections that just rocket by so fast that doesn't feel as long as it is. Descriptions are wondrous, characters are rich and nuanced, nothing is simple black and white. It's absolutely wonderful and I loved being in the world.
