Leave it to Sanderson to never disappoint. I loved that The Princess Bride was loose inspiration for this book and I think Sanderson's spin on it was brilliant. I loved the adventure of it all and the world-building across the various seas. Even for a shorter Sanderson book, this one was completely unputdownable. From the wild adventures to the different magic systems and the incredible cast of characters, I was hooked immediately. I also loved Hoid as a narrator. He does show up often in the Sanderson world and I appreciated the whimsy and lightheartedness he brought to the story. This was fast-paced and exciting and I was rooting for Tress the whole time. The plot twist during the last chunk had me reeling and I couldn't believe what was happening. I think the romance subplot was done so well in tandem with all the action and intrigue. Sanderson is one of my favorites for a reason and I'm so excited to dive into the rest of the secret projects he created.
