Clear Water by Nina.

Sensational. That’s the only word to describe this masterpiece. Clearwater is hands down one of the best books I’ve ever read, and exactly what I needed from the Porter Brothers series. Nina has delivered something truly special with this one: Daly’s story.

We’ve known Daly as the solid, dependable friend of the Porter brothers—Lake’s right-hand man. But in this book, we get to see Daly up close and personal as he steps into the role of nurturer for his sisters and his community. When Daly is unexpectedly faced with raising another child for his mom—this time, a newborn baby boy—he leans on his sisters and the village of people who’ve always had his back.

Amongst this community is Pavati, a beautiful and strong foster mom raising a rowdy but talented teenager. Daly and Pavati become co-parents to Daly’s little brother, and the sparks between them fly—both literally and figuratively. Pavati’s journey is just as compelling as Daly’s. Her past is far from perfect, but the found family she discovers in Daly and his sisters ultimately leads her back to her biological family. Watching her reconnect with them is not only hilarious but also deeply wholesome and heartwarming.

This book also gives us a look into the future of the Porter brothers. It’s a few years after the On Us series, and we get to revisit Lake, Wreck, Vant, Dem, and Sav—the same goofy, nutty bulls we fell in love with back on Front Street. Now, we see them as husbands and fathers, and let me tell you, the vibes are unmatched.

Clearwater is a perfect blend of love, family, community, and growth. Nina brought it all together in a way that felt authentic, heartfelt, and unforgettable. This is a book you’ll want to revisit again and again.
