Camp Damascus by Chuck Tingle
5.0
I really enjoyed this audiobook on many levels.
In the surface it’s a great horror book using psychological and body horror tactics. There’s a few sci-fi elements here too which adds another layer to the plot.
I loved the way Chuck Tingle used queer fear and trauma along with religious ideologies to create this really uncomfortable and engaging plot.
The characters were all very interesting and relatable in a lot of ways. I especially loved the found family aspect.
Overall I think this was very well written and narrated.
