The Wrath of the Just by Manel Loureiro
3.0
So this was it. The last of the three books. I must say, it was also the weakest by far. Where the others were gripping from start until end, this had a VERY looooong middle section. The story just didn't pick up it's pace. Also, although this is a novel about zombies, an author should always try to remain believable withing the limits of the world he has created - in this book Manel Loureiro unfortunately didn't. Some things were just a bit too over the top (a mistake many authors make at a certain point, unfortunately). At about 60% of the book, the story finally took off and became fast-paced. However, some things were also too obvious and convenient and the end was a bit rushed. One or two more pages for explanations would have been nice. Moreover, what really annoyed me were the many mistakes in this book (grammar and spelling). I'm aware that this is a self-published author but it worked fine in the other two books so why not here?! Hence, only 3 stars (actually only 2 but there is still some affection for the characters in me from the previous volumes) and quite a bit of disappointment on my end.
