The Return by Jennifer L. Armentrout
5.0
I have a confession. I never read Covenant series. I did finish the first book but it wasn't for me. Despite that I decide to give Titan series a chance, remembering how annoying it was when people didn't give Bloodlines a chance because they didn't enjoy Vampire Academy. I was a little scared of not understanding some stuff but bunch of people read Zayne's series without reading The Dark Elements.
And I was so glad I decided to read it. It has been forever since the last time I like Armentrout's first book this much. It might be because all the books from her lately have been so called nice guys. I like those but there just something about sarcastic bad boys that I really enjoy reading about.
It has been years since I read Half Blood, so I have no idea if I had a chance to meet Seth. But I adore him in this book. I can't wait to get more deep into his past and redemption. Seth is an Apollyon; a child of a pure and a half blood. Josie can be childish but she's also very understanding, like there were many scenes I thought she would get mad or act jealous but she didn't.
Seth and Josie are different from each other but they have similar backgrounds which made it is for Josie to relate and feel bad for him. Seth is a known player but he really just wants to be loved and he's not over controlling.
I love Greek mythology, so I'm so glad I liked this book. Not reading Covenant made me confused about differences between demi-gods, pure bloods and half bloods but thankfully it was explained after a little bit or I would've been one confused reader.
All in all I fell in love with the opening in this series and there was just one thing that annoyed me a time or two but considering my dislike the original series I decided to give The Return full five stars.
