You give me black girl in ballet and I will always eat it up. I love following main characters who want to be the very best no matter the cost. This story was just so good. Seeing Laure be engulfed by this monster with the allure of power and her descent into wanting even more was just really amazing. You could see how with all this power it still wasn’t enough for her. Laure’s treatment in the ballet where people who had actually privilege claimed she got handed things was crazy like be so for real. Laure and Ander were really cute like I didn’t expect a love story in this book but I was tuned in. Describing as Black Swan mixed with Ace of Spades is really accurate and I enjoyed every moment of it.
