I liked this more than the first one for sure! We finally get to see some development between the two main characters - Anais and Damien - as they navigate the situation they’re in. 

A few more darker themes are introduced, especially towards the end of the book. These books do tension really well. The two protagonists are finally starting to communicate things properly and actually be on the same page. Although, Damien can truly be infuriating sometimes. I’m glad Anais called out the power imbalance. 

Another cliffhanger of course!
