I really, really, REALLY enjoyed this book. It was a very personal work of writing that I found a lot of relevant & beautiful thoughts & ideas in. The majority of the complaints I've noticed are absurd because they seem to be complaining that the author is talking about her life & how she improved it, and is now proud of herself for the progress she has made (while she still acknowledges she has things to learn). To those people; ...it's in a MEMOIR-like form. They are meant to be personal. This was a collection of very personal essays of varied length. Obviously being a memoir there were certain things I vibed with more than others, but this was Glennon writing HER journey, not mine. And I loved the vulnerability in every subject. This was the first physical copy of a book that I have been mentally well enough to focus on all year, and some of the things Glennon wrote about only prompted me to reflect deeper & write about my own thoughts, experiences, feelings, and goals. Thank you for being brave enough to share your experiences & using vulnerability as a method of reaching people on subjects like misogyny, personal discovery, racism, and discomfort in breaking out of society/cultural/familial caging.
