The Shadow of What Was Lost by James Islington
Did not finish book. Stopped at 12%.
I'm unsure if I'll ever pick this back up. This book has a lot of praise, but also a lot of criticisms. I found myself agreeing with the criticisms more. This is a very plot-heavy book... but I didn't care about it. Without interesting characters, I have a hard time engaging with a weak (in my opinion) plot.
I also found out that there's time travel in this book... and no. I'm the kind of person who looks up spoilers when I'm not digging a book. And time travel is one of my most hated plot devices.
