Apostles of Mercy by Lindsay Ellis

adventurous emotional fast-paced

Some thougts:

  • Ellis' third acts (screenplay third acts) are some of the most geniuenly stressful stuff.
At least this time no one died
but i was still SO STRESSED.
  • Every P.o.V. character ever
    being in love with Cora
    sure is a choice.
  • Being very familiar with Ellis' work as a video essayist is fun cause every so often you'll just stumble over a thing that is SO distinctly her voice or a reference you know she made a whole video on (lots of Beatles references in this one when her most recent video essay is "The Ballad of John and Yoko/Yoko and the Beatles")
  • VERY interested to see where the next book is going to go in terms of character morality
