Oh, I wish I had read this years ago! Why did I wait?

I have, of course, seen the anime film based on this book and I enjoyed it immensely. But this book has a very different type of magic that I got caught up in much more fully.

The characters are, perhaps, the greatest part of this book. Howl and Sophie are incredibly flawed and often too selfish and pig-headed to effectively solve problems. This makes them so much more lovable and relateable - and so much more memorable and enjoyable to read about.

This is the perfect book for any fantasy reader -excellent characters, wonderful (and hilariously imaginative) magic, and marvelous storytelling. I highly recommend this for any fantasy lover -especially younger readers.
