I enjoyed this book for the most part, but the second half started to get kind of slow and frustrating. It took her so long to piece everything together and the horror of The Hollow Places wasn't really there for me.

*edited to add that while reading this book, Kara talked about spending all of her commission from a freelance logo design job on one order of Chinese food and I thought - no way, she's not charging enough if that's a real thing for her. But today I did a super quick logo design job and then spent all of it on Chinese food, so I stand corrected. 😅
