okay, so i ended up giving it 4 stars. this book is terrible, but that makes it good? none of the characters are really likeable, and, in my opinion, we miss the actual premise of the story because it's told from richard's pov. so, i felt slightly bamboozled by the synopsis. the middle of the book is what made me give it 4 stars. i was literally on the edge of my seat and wanted to keep reading (once richard was actually involved with the group). i'm glad i finished it, though.
