In his debut, Ant Farm and Other Desperate Situations, Simon Rich isn't afraid to express his opinions. And he does that. He repeatedly ridicules things under the guise of humor.

The stories were a mixed bag. My favorites were the ride back to beersheba, ouija board, invisible, when small talk goes wrong, and the best - the apocalypse guy's story. But most of the others, were just Meh. The time traveller story and ironically, the Ant Farm were plainly boring.
