As Picoult and her daughter mentioned when I heard them speak at ALA, this is a sweet, lovely story and a great introduction to Picoult for the children of Picoult fans. I enjoyed it LOTS! I also devoured it, as it is an easy read, which also lends itself to preteen/YA audiences. Fun fun fun...and to think Samantha thought of the idea while daydreaming in French class as a freshman!
