Broken by the Horde King by Zoey Draven
5.0
4.9 stars.
I am absolutely in love with Every Single book in this series.
I have come to really look forward to pretty much anything Zoey Draven releases, but this Horde King series has really captured my soul since the first book.
This was so freakin good!
I’m not usually a big fan of the of the second chance trope, but Kiran and Maeva’s story is just so freaking sweet, and heartwarming, and absolutely angst ridden. Plus I just could not miss out on the next horde king’s story.
I’m not gonna lie. I was a complete wreck throughout pretty much the entire book. I cried at the sweet things happening. I cried when the stressful things happened. I most certainly cried when the angsty sad shit happened.
The romance is so sweet and heartwarming. The tension between these two is sizzling. And the sex. All of these books have fantastically done sex scenes.
The plot was totally engrossing. Every time I pick up one of these books I get sucked right back into Dakkar. Zoey really has a talent for world building.
I mean there’s culture, language, politics, world wide problems, horde dynamic problems…it’s just so well done.
I’m impressed every single time.
And just like the last time, I’m sad to have already finished this newest addition.
We leave Kiran and Maeva at the end of this with something big brewing in the distance on their world and I’m just so pumped to dig deeper into it. Find out what Vorakkar is getting his Morakari next and how it’ll happen.
Really that’s the only reason this was a 4.9 star book for me. I’m just too upset to be finished with it. I want more.
