The Last Guardian by Eoin Colfer
5.0
It's always bittersweet to see a favorite series end, and Artemis Fowl is no exception. I've been a fan of this series since elementary school, and the books have gotten progressively more addicting. The Last Guardian is rife with the Colfer's usual humor, action, and ingenuity; however, it possesses one huge change: a turning point in Artemis' character development. It leads to a bittersweet ending, a final chapter that offers a strange sense of closure, one that was both uplifting and depressing.
