Ice Blue by Anne Stuart
When in doubt read Anne Stuart.
Her books are extremely formulaic but they work so well for me!
Crazy organisation that wants to unleash Armageddon goes after a museum creator to steal an urn. She is rescued by a misterious man who also wants the urn, and that has been ordered to kill her. The story is set between California and Japan, it's action packed from beginning to end and there is even a scene of fake relationship.
I really loved seeing them always on the run and their attraction was quite strong but they tried to fight it (so much angst!). I really enjoyed it!
Beware that she is an old writer so some tropes and consent are like the ones you found in books written in the 80/90s
