It was alright I guess like a great book for the lay people/popular fiction. I'm used to reading classics/ more challenging literature so it was nice in that the material was an easy read.
I'm someone who watched the Netflix series first so I'm a little biased. Though you have to admit the changes in the show make the content more interesting and expand on the characters. Like the Jack and Mel in the book are okay, but I'm more attached to their Netflix counterparts.
It's great that we get Mel and Jack's pov in the book, but as others have remarked, there isn't really much in their narration Like I get that Jack really likes Mel in those jeans and her butt and he's the first chick he liked. I get that Mel feels guilty, but likes how manly Jack is and his butt too
