Someone should contact a doctor because the librarian in the outer banks has no spine. She is weak af. No woman in her 30s, no woman I know my age (26) would ever let their mother totally take over their dating life. No educated, career driven woman I should clarify. The mom was super nice at the start and then was just a jerk through the whole book. Like we get it, you are in pain but chill, lady! Alcohol is supposed to relax you, not shove a stick so far up someone's butt that Connor the dentist, might need to help take it out. The mystery was fine. I really dislike Louise Jane. It's embarrassing that a human is incapable of getting a job somewhere else. If she wanted to be a librarian so badly, she could go to school for it. I cannot sympathize with the character at all. Here is to hoping she gets killed in the next book!
