Death du Jour by Kathy Reichs

4.0

Dr. Temperance Brennan is a forensic anthologist working in Canada and the United States.
It is deep winter in Quebec and shes working on digging up an old corpse for Sister Elisabeth Nicolet who is now a candidate for sainthood.
The puzzling aspects of Sister Elizabeths life and death provides Dr. Brennan with a welcome distraction from the death and bodies that seem to be piling up around her.
A burned chalet with a dead family, including young infants. Its looking like murder. Dr. Brennan and Detective Ryan are on the case.
The case and its many twists and links leads them all over Quebec, Texas, and South Carolina.
With links to an odd commune its starting to look like cult behaviour is at play and somehow Dr.Brennan’s sister could be mixed up with it.
The case must be solved, but at what cost?
A good read with a lot of forensics at play. I enjoyed how the story was all tied together. I found it very similar to the first book of the series and I’m looking forward to continuing.
