I wasn't expecting to like this book as much as I did. The only way I can describe Anne Brontë's writing is "smooth as butter"! It read away like a dream and I truly could not put this book down. I loved the down to earth realism. Even though many of the events were tragic and unjust, it was a delightfully relaxing read over the few days where I really needed to read something like this. Helen brought me many wisdoms that I needed right now. I am glad she found happiness!
