Amazing sequel to "Three Dark Crowns". It kept me on the edge of my seat with the action and twists added, and it answered/ developed some of the cliffhangers in the previous book. It also added some new cliffhangers such as: Will Katharine be persuaded by Pietyr to follow through with the execution orders of her sisters? Will she pursue them? Will Jules return to the island safely? What will become of Arsinoe and Mirabella? So many questions, and now I can see why Kendare Blake extended this series- it has plenty of ways to develop into one of the best YA novels of its time.
