One for All by Lillie Lainoff
5.0
historical fantasy with fencing, ball gowns, chronic illness rep (POTS) and a cast of found family!!!!
i loved this - a genderbent three musketeers story set in france (also as a french person this was so good and the french was accurate, what a win) following Tania as she navigated the world of paris in the 1600 and learnt the secrets about the world of nobility. i don’t think anyone can hate a story where girls strap daggers under their dresses and seduce men, right?!
the only downfall for me is the fact that the love interest has my brothers name and so it was a bit harder to actually like him. there is a sapphic side romance introduced into the story later on and i adored them.
the fight scenes were dynamic and captivating, the author herself is a fencer and suffers from POTS, which makes it even more fun to read about as it felt like her knowledge shined through.
i cannot wait for the authors next book because what a beautiful and hooking story one for all was!
